European countries quiz (EuropaQuiz).

German

Description: Quiz, consisting in guessing the capital, country surface, inhabitant number, EU entry year or natioanl flag for a given European country. What the quiz is about, may be selected in the "Auswahl" (= selection) menu. Answers are normally given by choosing an item from those listed in the combox, except for "Hauptstädte (Eingabe)", where the user has to find and enter the capital by herself and "Nationalflaggen", where clicking on the "Flagge" button opens a second window with the images of the national flags, the correct answer, in this case, consisting in selecting the correct image (simply by clicking it...). Push "Frage" (= question) to get a question, "Antwort" (= answer) to check your answer. Success percentage is updated automatically. Use the "Neu" (= new) command in the "Quiz" menu to start a new quiz (this also re-enables the "Auswahl" menu).

Change log:
Version 1.0 (January 2018): Original version of the program.
Version 1.1 (December 2019): Extension of the quiz options by adding the EU entry year.
Version 2.0 (March 2020): Usage of a second form (instead of the "Open" dialog) to select national flags.

Note: With version 2.0 the possible problems with the file display in the "Open" dialog are resolved. Also, the flag images, to select from, are now displayed in a random order. As the selection of files using the "Open" dialog may eventually be interesting for programmer newbies, version 1.1 is still available. Here the link to the Previous versions folder.

Free Pascal features: Displaying pictures in a random order; selecting pictures with a mouse-click; changing the display size of pictures during runtime. Showing and hiding controls. Filling a combobox with data from an array.
